Kehila Chadasha is once again pleased to offer an experiential High Holiday program for children. Our unique programs integrate worship, music and art. The children experience the joy and meaning of the holidays through these special, hands-on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur activities. Healthy snacks will be served both mornings and the children will have an opportunity to join the adult service to hear the blowing of the Shofar.
NOTE: Services start promptly at 9:45 AM.
NOTE: There will be no children’s program during the evening services on Rosh Hashanah and Kol Nidre. If you choose to bring your children, they must be able to sit quietly through the services.
Enrollment for children’s services is on a first-come, first-served basis and spaces are limited. Please register by Friday September 7th either on the website at www.e-kehila.org/highholidays or by using the enclosed paper form. Walk-ins are welcome.
Younger than 5 years – accompanied by a parent or familiar adult who remains with the child throughout the program.
5 - 6 year-olds who do not require parental supervision – with a parent or familiar adult checking in periodically.
7 - 12 year-olds – can be unaccompanied.
Location: Walter Johnson High School Cafeteria, 6400 Rock Spring Drive in Bethesda.
Fee per child: $55.00 – includes both holidays. Parents who choose to attend with their children instead of attending regular services are welcome, but we encourage you to make a contribution to help defray our costs.
