Faith Climate Action Week at Kehila, Sunday April 7
Kehila will be joining communities across the country with a postcard writing campaign to our local officials at Kehila on Sunday, April 7. We’ll supply you with the post card, a list of issues, and suggested script, that you can adapt. The campaign is in coordination with Interfaith Power and Light, whose national community engagement and programs manager, Kari Chinn writes, “It is vitally important that our elected officials know that, as people of faith, we demand action on climate change and that we believe having strong climate policies is our moral obligation to protect future generations.”
Celebrate Earth Day on April 28 with the entire family at the 2019 Montgomery County GreenFest on from 11am – 4pm at Brookside Gardens. Kehila is a member of the Montgomery County Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, which is one of the co-sponsors of the event. Earlier in the month at Sunday school all members - all ages - can lend a hand to paint a Kehila parachute (it’s small don’t worry) that will be displayed at the event!
