Interfaith Clothing Center

Kehila volunteers the second Tuesday of each month at the Interfaith Clothing Center (ICC), a program sponsored by Interfaith Works.

In addition, Kehila is a co-sponsor of "Songs of Life", an interfaith music concert that has raised significant contributions to the ICC.  See photos on Facebook of the May 2018 concert.

The ICC is located at 751 Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville.  Volunteers organize clothing and household items and work in the "free store" that provides these goods to low-income families free of charge, allowing them to use more of their resources on food, rent, utilities, medicine, and other basic needs.  Additionally, the ICC provides an array of services to help clients work towards greater financial security and self-sufficiency.

The ICC is one way Interfaith Works fulfills its mission to, "Equip people to lift themselves out of poverty by addressing the root causes of their challenges through prevention, stabilization and empowerment." Kehila is a congregational member of Interfaith Works, working on its programming committee to evaluate and improve services to low-income residents of Montgomery County.

Tammy Trocki is the Kehila coordinator for volunteering at the ICC.  Watch for announcements on the Kehila Cybershletl.

Phil Grimley is the coordinator for other Kehila participation with Interfaith Works.
