Holiday Celebrations

Kehila celebrates the major and not-so-major Jewish holidays. Instrumental music, singing and dancing are integral parts of Community holiday celebrations, which are led by Rabbi David Shneyer.

In addition to our High Holiday services, which are open to the greater D.C. Jewish community, members gather to glean from the fields at Sukkot, dance with the Torah at Simchat Torah, celebrate light and freedom at Chanukah, share nuts and seeds at a Tu B'shevat sedar, read the megillah and have fun in plays and carnivals at Purim, celebrate freedom and pray for peace at Pesach.
