Learning for everyone is as much a part of Kehila as celebrating the Jewish holidays. We focus not only on creating a progressive, nontraditional Hebrew School for our kids but also on bringing adults together to explore all aspects of being Jewish.
Our "Kehila University" meets on Sunday mornings during the children's Sunday School.
Adult Onegs, Friday night Shabbat events for members over age 13, usually are held in members' homes five or six times a year. The evening includs a short service and a program – a documentary film, concert or speaker, or group activity. Socializing and noshing round out the evening.
Our progressive Jewish Sunday School is directed by a Principal and members of the Education Committee. This cooperative arrangement reflects the dynamic style of the Community.
Kehila is seeking an experienced and dynamic principal with a strong Judaic background for our progressive Sunday school of 30-40 students. We also are hiring teachers for some of our classes.
